Hudson River School of Artist Inspired Drawings
4th graders spent quite some time in their classrooms learning about New York State. The study was brought into the art room through an exploration of the Hudson River Valley School of Painters. Students were each assigned a different artist to research in the computer lab and were required to find a painting by that artist to recreate. This was the first time using colored pastels for many students.
