4th Grade Georgia O'keefe Paintings

4th graders were introduced to the life and artwork of one of the most famous female artists; Georgia O'keefe. Students were given flowers to use as a reference. 4th graders had the challenge of painting a flower so large on the canvas that one did not even know it was a flower. Students were aloud to choose whatever colors they wanted for the flower and background.

2nd Grade Flower Still Lives

2nd Grade had the same challenge as 3rd grade: Drawing a flower still life 

Students observed flowers in vases at each of their tables. Students used soft pastels on black construction paper to create their masterpieces. Charcoal was used in the background to clean up the edges. This work along with the 3rd graders will be on display at the CoffeeNook (a local coffee shop) for the next month. Nice job 2nd graders! 

3rd Grade Flower Still lives

These students created still life drawings from flowers in vases. Students used chalk to layout their drawings, soft pastels to add color and charcoal to clean up the backgrounds on black construction paper. Very impressive for their first still life drawings!
