Art & Community



It is tradition at Trinity to have student artwork grades K-6 on display for the summer in a local bank.  Many students did a wonderful job on their paintings and it was a very difficult decision to make. Shown below are the proud artists of the work that was chosen to be hung at the NBT Bank.








Missing from the picture are Liz and Leah from 6th grade.

4th Grade Hudson River Drawings on display at the Public Library

6th Grade American Landscape Painters


The majority of the 6th grade class created paintings inspired by the 21st century "painter of light" Thomas Kinkade, others painted works inspired by Winslow Homer. These artist filled their canvas's with many details though color and shape in objects. This was a challenge for 6th graders as their last project of the year. 








The two paintings below painted by Leah and Liz were chosen to be on display at NBT Bank.



5th Grade Henri Matisse Paintings


The 5th grade was introduced to the life and artwork of the french painter Henri Matisse. Mattise's later work was known for being very colorful, bold and distorted. He is part of a group of artist known as the "fauves" or "wild beasts,"  in the art movement of fauvism. Each student was given a small image of one of his paintings and challenged with the task of recreating their own version of a Matisse painting. 














Ashley, Hailey and Abigail's artwork was chosen to be on display at the NBT Bank.

4th Grade Georgia O'keefe Paintings


4th graders were introduced to the life and artwork of one of the most famous female artists; Georgia O'keefe. Students were given flowers to use as a reference. 4th graders had the challenge of painting a flower so large on the canvas that one did not even know it was a flower. Students were aloud to choose whatever colors they wanted for the flower and background.

3rd Grade Vincent vanGogh Paintings


3rd grade students were introduced to the interesting life and artwork of the famous Vincent van Gogh.  Students were then instructed to create their own version of a work inspired by van Gogh. Each were given a different copy of a famous work of art.
