GEORGE SEURAT THE DOT!!!
The ambitious 1st graders were introduced to the life and artwork of George Seurat. We learned that Seurat invented a new way of painting, instead of dragging a paint brush he created multiple dots. We called him "George Seurat the Dot." Each student created their versions of Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. As a class we sketched the basic outline on our canvas panels.
