Pre K Self-Portraits

It's never too early to start studying yourself!
3 Years Old Self-Portraits

Students responded well to this lesson. We took a round cardboard circle and traced it with a black marker. Then we added two vertical lines for our necks. We then drew a small curved line (like the letter "u") for our noses and two small vertical lines on each side of our nose. Then we added our eyes (a circle within a circle and a dot in the center) and our eye lashes. We could not forget our beautiful smiles! We then used a crayon to color in our faces and eyes with our skin and eye color. Then came the most fun part...we added paint to a tooth brush to "brush on our hair," that was funny! We talked about how important it was to brush our teeth twice a day and to comb long hair.

Tim Burton inspired?! =)
